It's An Over At The Castle Birthday GIVEAWAY!!
Posted by: boni
Today is the official release day of my second book, Over At The Castle
, you might ask, what's a birthday without PRESENTS?? Exactly...
Let's give away a present... or two! Just enter before I draw the winning name at midnight on Friday, March 5th, 2010.
WHAT'S THE PRESENT? A signed copy of Over At The Castle
. And maybe a signed copy of Hush, Little Dragon
, too, since it's Hush's Two-Year Birthday today! But that part's up to you...
Over At The Castle
is a counting book, so I'm going to have a little fun with numbers (but I'm terrible at math, so I'll make it e-a-s-y- ha!) Just leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite number is- how easy is THAT??! I'll put all the entries in a hat, draw the winner and post his/her name on Saturday so the winner can contact me with their mailing address.
So, how can you win a copy of Hush, Little Dragon
too?? Simply post about this giveaway on your blog, tweet it on Twitter, post it on your Facebook page, the blueboards... you pick, but give it one little cyber-shout-out SOMEWHERE (and tell me where when you comment), and if your name is the one I draw to win Over At The Castle
, then you'll get a signed copy of Hush, Little Dragon
And if you ask me, these two books do look *sweet* next to each other on a shelf :)
Thanks for celebrating my Book Birthday with me and GOOD LUCK!

It was during a lecture on e that I first experienced the sensation of beauty in regards to math. It is my fervent hope that people learn enough of it that they, too, experience it as breathtakingly beautiful and not just "Hard".
Posting up on FB, and wishing you the best!

Hello From 2nd Graders at Lakeside School in Oshkosh, Wisconsin! We just finished reading "Hush Little Dragon" and we think it is: the best book we've ever heard; we love it, its beautiful; wonderful illustrations and "googley eyes"; really funny; we like the rhyming; we like how you took a lullaby and made a dragon story out of it; we're going to read "Over At the Castle"; lots of color, VERY CREATIVE. Mrs. Davis' 2nd Gr.

We're 2nd graders in Mrs. Schaefer's Lakeside School class. Some of us are also picky eaters. We only like to eat: pizza, chocolate cream pie; pudding; candy; mac & cheese; brownies; cupcakes; ice cream; fettuccini; french fries, strawberries with sugar & whipped cream; chicken; bread sticks; pumpkin pie; spaghetti; or deer meat. Did your own picky eater learn to eat more things after "Hush Little Dragon"?

Now the other 3rd gr. class at Lakeside School in Oshkosh, WI is wondering where you got the idea for having dragons as your main characters? Is it possible you'll be flying into Oshkosh on a dragon? Or on that poor little horse that little dragon was going to eat? Also, we're wondering if you know how your family got that cool last name? And, do you ever do any drawing?
See you Friday. Mrs. Klas' 3rd Grade Class.
